WELCOME TO LYFE!

“To be a student of life means, first of all, to create a space, amidst the jungle of ideas that surrounds us. When the space is created, then you can learn.” -Prem Rewat

We truly believe that yoga is for everyone ~ every body type, every background, every mindset, every ability, every budget, every age.

We are each different beings with unique desires and needs. No two of us are the same. The beautiful practice of yoga is malleable. It can meet you where you are, whether it's on a yoga mat, at your office, or out on a Friday night.

LYFE is a place that cultivates and nurtures community and joy through your practice.

Our studio serves the Middle Park, Albert Park, and Elwood neighborhoods and seeks to be a home to the Melbourne community at large!

The Koru is a symbol integral to our founding philosophy. In the Māori tradition this natural shape signifies new beginnings, growth, strength, and peace. Korus are found in many sizes and reflect perpetual movement ~ just like life. Ever shifting, ever expanding, how we dance with this energy is when our practice can come to life.

CAROLINE JOAN, communications Caroline was trying to hire a yoga teacher for her ballet school in Rwanda when the teacher said “I’ll work for you, but you have to come to class, too.” She successfully blew her off for three weeks before being forced into the primary series in Ashtanga yoga — and her whole life immediately changed. Now, she lives in the Colorado mountains with her man and pup, working as a writer and helper-of-small-businesses in all things written word. IG: @carolinejoan

HAILEY, teacher Hailey began in a hot Bikram studio. Like most who feel that post-practice-buzz she became curious about how it was that all the bending & stretching was positively influencing so many areas of her life. Her curious nature led her to try other styles of yoga which soon sparked a desire to teach. She completed her first 200YTT with Power Living back in 2014 and has remained a student through various trainings. Her intention as a teacher is to remind students that they already have everything they need in order to be awakened to their potential. IG: @yoga_beyond_the_mat
