SATSANG, MEDITATION AND FIRE CEREMONY

We are thrilled to welcome our esteemed teacher Manorama for a spiritually uplifting evening of Satsang that includes a Vedic fire ceremony, chanting and meditation.

Manorama will share Luminous Soul teachings, mantras and stories to support yogic clarity, connection in life. No experience necessary, just an open heart.

SANSKRIT STUDIES METHOD: SANSKRIT MODULE 1

Thursday & Friday, 11-12 June, 11:30-3:30PM

Module 1 is an immersion into to Sanskrit and gives students the ability to work confidently with mantras and to live alongside yogic principles. Learn the language of yoga, mantra, and meditation. This course is appropriate for all students, yoga teachers and anyone interested in deepen their practice of self through chanting, Sanskrit & yoga.

In this course students learn to:

  • Develop insight into the unique relationship between breath and sound, which is energy and consciousness.

  • Practice meditation and the yoga of sound to soothe the mind and return it to a natural energized state of tranquility.

  • Understand how and why Sanskrit sounds are energetically healing.

  • Experience the harmonious circularity of Sanskrit sounds.

Elements of the course include:

  • Learning proper pronunciation of Sanskrit through study of the five mouth positions.

  • Developing understanding of breath patterns and how to work with them in mantras.

  • Develop a practice of silent conscious listening.

  • Introduction to select Mantras, practice of meditation and discovery of key elements in the yoga of sound.

This course (8 hours) is part of our Dig Deeper Yoga Studies (DDYS) 200-hour Teacher Training. Light homework exercises will help support the course material.

MANTRA YOGA WORKSHOP

Saturday & Sunday, 13–14 June, 11:30-3:30PM

*Pre-requisite: Sanskrit Module 1 and/or Online Sanskrit Studies

Manorama earned a B.A. in Film at Columbia University, where she also studied linguistics.
